How do I know whether my cat is sociable and suited to a shared room?
If you’re not sure how sociable your cat is, we offer a 24-hour trial stay. It lets us see how they adapt to the place, how they get on with the other cats and how they behave, so we can then place them with like-minded companions.
The trial stay costs €20. If it isn’t conclusive, you’ll need to choose the luxury single room, if available, or home visits.
Which vaccinations are required?
In a shared room:
- if your cat goes outdoors at home: vaccinations against cat flu (coryza), feline panleukopenia (typhus) and feline leukaemia (FeLV), given within the last year;
- if your cat stays indoors: the leukaemia vaccination is not compulsory;
- recent negative FIV and FeLV tests;
- up-to-date worming / flea treatment.
In a single room:
- up-to-date vaccinations against feline panleukopenia (typhus) and cat flu (coryza);
- up-to-date worming / flea treatment.
Do you take elderly cats or cats on medication?
Of course. Charlotte gives prescribed treatments.
Depending on how serious the illness is, the cattery reserves the right to decline certain conditions, such as chronic cat flu or diabetes.
What if my cat would rather stay at home?
