Preamble
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (CGV) apply to the cat care services offered by MyCatHome, an EURL (single-member limited liability company, SARL à associé unique) with share capital of €1,000, whose registered office is at 94 route de Pechbonnieu, 31780 Castelginest, registered with the Toulouse RCS under number 932 360 704 (intra-EU VAT number FR18932360704), represented by its manager, Charlotte Vieu (hereinafter “MyCatHome”). Contact: 06 75 55 59 60 · mycathome.contact@gmail.com.
They are intended for private individuals who entrust their cat to MyCatHome, either at the cattery or through home visits (hereinafter “the owner”). They are made available to the owner before any booking, in accordance with Articles L111-1 and L221-5 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), and are accepted by ticking the box provided for this purpose when booking. Any booking implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Looking after a cat in return for payment is a paid deposit contract (contrat de dépôt salarié) within the meaning of Articles 1915 et seq. of the French Civil Code (Code civil). MyCatHome carries out its activity in compliance with Articles L214-6 et seq. of the French Rural and Maritime Fishing Code (Code rural et de la pêche maritime) and the Order of 3 April 2014 on activities relating to pets (arrêté du 3 avril 2014).
MyCatHome may amend these Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time by publishing a new version on the website; the applicable terms are those in force on the date of booking.
The cattery
Article 1 – Description of services
MyCatHome boards cats at 94 route de Pechbonnieu, 31780 Castelginest, in five 12 m² units: three chalets overlooking the garden and two indoor rooms. Each unit holds a maximum of 4 cats; on arrival and departure days, the care areas may hold up to 5 cats.
- the shared room suits sociable cats, who share their accommodation with no more than 3 other cats;
- the individual luxury room takes a single cat or cats from the same household (up to 4 cats); it suits unsociable cats, older cats, cats receiving treatment or with a particular medical condition, or cats experiencing too much stress.
MyCatHome chooses each cat’s accommodation according to its temperament, age, state of health and the option booked.
Our rooms and chalets are cleaned and disinfected every day with products that are non-toxic for our boarders and environmentally friendly.
All our rooms and chalets are equipped with CCTV. Movements detected within the camera’s field of view are recorded (clips of 15 to 30 seconds) and kept for 10 days on an online storage service, so that they can be reviewed if needed.
The owner receives regular updates: videos of their cat every two days and stories on the Instagram account @mycathome31.
Article 2 – Admission requirements and opening hours
To be admitted to the cattery, the cat must:
- be in good health and not carry any contagious disease;
- have microchip or tattoo identification, as required by Article L212-10 of the French Rural and Maritime Fishing Code (Code rural et de la pêche maritime);
- be spayed or neutered (except kittens under 6 months old);
- be up to date with vaccinations against feline panleukopenia (typhus) and cat flu (coryza) (last injection less than one year ago);
- in a shared room: be vaccinated against feline leukaemia (FeLV) if they have outdoor access (vaccine strongly recommended even for indoor cats) and have recent negative FIV and FeLV tests;
- be vaccinated against rabies in the case of adoption or travel outside France;
- have received worming / flea treatment within the last 1 or 3 months, depending on the product.
On arrival, the cat must come with its vaccination record (kept for the duration of the stay), its prescription and medication if it is receiving treatment, and a T-shirt or toy carrying its scent.
An FIV-positive cat can only be accepted in an individual room, or looked after through home visits. Depending on how dangerous the illness is, MyCatHome reserves the right to refuse certain conditions, such as chronic cat flu (coryza) or diabetes.
If the cat’s sociability is not known, a 24-hour trial stay (an evening, a night and a day on site, spread over 2 days) may be requested before a stay in a shared room. If the trial is not conclusive, the cat may be accommodated in an individual luxury room, subject to availability, or looked after through home visits.
If fleas are found on arrival or within the following 24 hours, a flat fee of €60 is charged to the owner for the full cleaning of the accommodation.
MyCatHome may refuse to admit a cat that does not meet these requirements; the full price of the booking then remains payable.
The cattery is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays, but care and visits continue as usual. Arrivals (preferably in the afternoon) and departures (preferably before noon) are by appointment only. The cat is dropped off and collected by the owner or by a person the owner has designated in writing.
Article 3 – Booking, prices and payment
Bookings are made online through our booking software, Resanimo, accessible from the website, up to 12 months in advance. The owner enters their contact details, information about their cat, the option and extras required, and an emergency contact. The availability shown is for guidance only: the contract is concluded when MyCatHome confirms the booking, within 48 hours. If the cattery is full, the owner may be placed on a waiting list. A care contract setting out the details of the stay is signed when the cat arrives.
Prices are shown on the website in euros including all taxes, per day and per cat, according to the option and the season. The rates applicable are those in force for each day of the stay: the new rates apply to days from 1 January 2027 onwards. Only the price shown on the booking confirmation is contractually binding.
High season: school holidays for the Toulouse zone, long weekends around public holidays, and every year from 1 July to 15 September and from 15 December to 15 January. Low season: the rest of the year.
The following may be added where applicable:
- €2 per day per cat on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays;
- light medical treatment: €1 per day per cat; heavy treatment (injections, several doses a day): €2 per day per cat;
- trial stay: flat fee of €20;
- transport of the cat: on quotation;
- cleaning fee in the event of fleas (Article 2) and veterinary-related costs (Article 5).
A deposit of 30% of the price is required on booking to secure the cat’s place, in every season. This sum is a deposit (acompte), not a forfeitable down payment (arrhes), within the meaning of Article L214-1 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation). The balance is paid when the cat arrives. Any change or cancellation must be notified as early as possible, in writing (email or text message). If the owner cancels:
- in low season, the deposit is refunded if the cancellation is made at least 1 month before the start of the service;
- in high season, the deposit is refunded if the cancellation is made at least 2 months before the start of the service;
- after these deadlines, the deposit is retained by MyCatHome.
Payment is made in cash or by bank card, either at the cattery or online on our Resanimo booking site. Payment in instalments is available through our partner Klarna; its terms are shown before you confirm.
Article 4 – Feeding
For health reasons, food is not provided: the owner must bring enough of it (dry and/or wet). If needed, MyCatHome will buy additional food, to be reimbursed on presentation of the receipt.
Individual Surefeed microchip feeders are available in all shared Cathomes. They make it possible to keep each cat on its own specific diet, thereby limiting digestive upsets. Cats do not always understand these feeders straight away, so a period of adjustment may be needed.
The cattery follows the cat’s feeding instructions (wet food/food supplements). On arrival at the cattery, your cat may eat less or more than usual while settling in. The cattery cannot be held responsible for any weight loss or weight gain.
Article 5 – Health and veterinary care
The owner undertakes to report any recent health problem.
If the cattery is to administer any medical treatment, the owner must provide an up-to-date prescription and agrees to release the cattery from any liability regarding the course of the illness.
The cattery may refuse a boarder whose state of health is incompatible with the stay. The full booking will be payable if this issue was not reported before arrival.
The cattery cannot be held responsible for:
- diseases against which vaccination is required for admission and for which the owner must provide up-to-date proof (for example: feline panleukopenia (typhus), cat flu (coryza), feline leukaemia, rabies, according to current requirements);
- any illness or condition that appears at the cattery but which the cat was already carrying before its arrival;
- any common illness that cannot be detected before the cat arrives at the cattery (e.g. feline coronavirus, which can cause FIP, gastroenteritis, etc.);
- any physical injury caused by the cat’s own clumsiness or by a disagreement with another cat at the cattery.
The owner authorises the cattery to take the cat in its care to its usual vet (the one who gave the last vaccination recorded in the vaccination record) if that vet is within a maximum radius of 10 km of the cattery, or to the Clinique des 4 Vents in Launaguet.
During the cattery’s opening hours, the trip to the vet and the time spent there are charged at €30.
Outside the cattery’s opening hours, the cattery calls out a mobile vet, who comes to the cattery to provide first aid if the manager does not consider the situation an absolute emergency. The vet’s call-out and consultation cost approximately €150.
However, if the cat’s life is in danger, the manager has the owner’s prior authorisation to take the cat to the Vet Urgentys clinic in Purpan. The cattery will then charge €60 for the trip and the time spent there.
All veterinary costs paid upfront by the cattery after the owner’s written approval (text message or email) are payable by the owner, who must reimburse them immediately by bank transfer or at the latest when collecting the cat.
Article 6 – Liability and abandonment
The owner acknowledges that a cat remains an unpredictable animal; MyCatHome cannot be held responsible for an accidental injury caused by another cat, despite the supervision provided.
Failure to collect your cat within 8 days of the end of the contract, without any word from the owner or the emergency contact provided, will be considered abandonment. MyCatHome may then entrust the cat to an animal welfare organisation. Abandonment is an act of cruelty and is punishable by 3 years’ imprisonment and a €45,000 fine (French Criminal Code (Code pénal), Article 521-1). MyCatHome will systematically file a complaint.
Home visits
Article 7 – Description of services
MyCatHome offers a home visit service within a maximum radius of 15 km around the cattery.
Each visit lasts around 25 to 30 minutes. The cat sitter takes care of feeding, fresh water, cleaning the litter tray and any accidents (vomit, droppings), as well as play and cuddles. A photo or video is sent to the owner after every visit.
Keys are kept in a safe place, with no indication of the address, and returned according to the instructions given at the preliminary visit. Once the keys have been returned, or at the end of the agreed contract, MyCatHome is no longer responsible for either the animal or the home.
The owner may choose to leave a set of keys at the cattery for regular visits between contracts. The cattery cannot be held responsible for the home while no visit contract is in progress.
The owner acknowledges that a cat remains an unpredictable animal. MyCatHome cannot be held responsible for any accidental injury or property damage caused by the cat itself, during or outside visits, nor for any damage to the home caused by a third party outside the visits. If the cat sitter notices a problem in the home (leak, breakdown, break-in, etc.), she will inform the owner.
Article 8 – Admission requirements and preliminary visit
To benefit from home visits, the owner’s home must be no more than 15 km from the cattery.
The cat or cats being looked after must not have fleas or cat flu (coryza), nor be aggressive. The owner undertakes to inform MyCatHome of any cameras or alarm in the home. MyCatHome may refuse to set up the visits if these conditions are not met: the full booking then remains payable.
A free preliminary visit takes place 48 to 72 hours before the owner leaves. It is an opportunity to look around the home, note all the instructions needed to care for the cat properly and hand over a set of keys.
The owner leaves enough food, litter and equipment for the whole period of their absence, and makes sure the home remains accessible (keys, codes, alarm).
Article 9 – Booking, prices and cancellation
Bookings are made online via Resanimo. The owner provides their contact details, information about their cat and an emergency contact. The contract is concluded when MyCatHome confirms the booking, within 48 hours; the care contract is signed at the preliminary visit.
The price of a visit depends on the season, to which are added a travel fee based on the distance between the home and the cattery, €2 per visit on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and €1 per visit per cat from the third cat onwards. Rates are shown in euros including all taxes on the website; the online calculator gives an estimate, and the exact price is confirmed at the preliminary visit. High season: school holidays for the Toulouse zone, long weekends around public holidays, and every year from 1 July to 15 September and from 15 December to 15 January. Low season: the rest of the year.
A 30% deposit is required on booking; the balance is paid at the preliminary visit, in cash or by bank card, or online via Resanimo (payment in instalments available with Klarna). Any change or cancellation must be notified as early as possible, in writing. If the owner cancels:
- in low season, the deposit is refunded if the cancellation is made at least 1 month before the start of the service;
- in high season, the deposit is refunded if the cancellation is made at least 2 months before the start of the service;
- after these deadlines, the deposit is retained by MyCatHome.
Article 10 – Health and veterinary care
The owner authorises MyCatHome to take the cat in its care to its usual vet (the one who gave the last vaccination recorded in the vaccination record) if that vet is within a maximum radius of 10 km of the cattery, or to the Clinique des 4 Vents in Launaguet.
During the cattery’s opening hours, the trip to the vet and the time spent there are charged at €30.
All veterinary costs paid upfront by MyCatHome after the owner’s written approval (text message or email) are payable by the owner, who must reimburse them immediately by bank transfer or at the latest on their return.

Sums paid for services not performed are then refunded.
Article 13 – Photos, videos and CCTV
Photos and videos taken during the cat’s care are sent to the owner. MyCatHome may also share images of its boarders on its website and social media (Instagram, Facebook), without ever showing the owner or their address. Owners who do not wish this may say so when booking, or at any time by email.
CCTV recordings from the cattery (Article 1) are kept for 10 days, viewed only by MyCatHome and may be shown to the owner in the event of an incident.
Article 14 – Personal data

Any complaint may be sent to MyCatHome, 94 route de Pechbonnieu, 31780 Castelginest, by email to mycathome.contact@gmail.com or by phone on 06 75 55 59 60.
In accordance with Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), if the dispute is not resolved following a written complaint (or if no reply is received within 60 days), the owner may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator to which MyCatHome belongs, within one year of their complaint.
Article 16 – Insurance
MyCatHome holds professional liability insurance with MMA IARD, 444 route de Fronton, 31200 Toulouse.
Article 17 – Governing law and disputes
These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. If any of their clauses were declared void, the others would remain applicable.
In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt to reach an amicable settlement, the owner may, at their choice, bring the matter before the court for the place where they were living when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred, or before any other competent court (Article R631-3 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation)).
